Senior Household Account Handler

Main duties will involve:

Client Servicing & Administration

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate experience & knowledge of having dealt with Home

Insurance delegated authority scheme before, and an understanding of underwriting these types of

risks under a delegated authority.

Managing Departmental Workflow

Effective and timely communication with all Personal Lines clients - email, letters & telephone.

Preparation of the monthly renewal lists, preparing and issuing renewal terms.

Preparation of New Business Quotes.

Checking and issuing of insurance documentation

Referral & liaise as necessary with insurers in relation to client's policies

Systems and applications are kept up to date and accurate with all information at all times and in

keeping with company & regulatory guidelines

Managing Claim files referring and keeping close I on progress, settling desk top small claims under

Claims Delegated Authority.

Such other duties as the board or line management may from time to time require

Compliance & Training

Adhere to all company & FCA policies and procedures as instructed

Carry out all training provided to deadlines prescribed

Work within delegated U/W authorities

Maximize client retention whilst adhering to all Company and Regulatory guidelines.

Execute the responsibilities of a company employee acting in a lawful and ethical manner in

accordance with your contract of employment and company staff handbook.

Work with Directors & Managers to manage own professional development, including performance

appraisal and identifying and meeting training needs in order to ensure competence and compliance

with FCA regulations.

The successful candidate must have up to date Household Insurance experience.

Ability to work as a team player and organise the departmental work load effectively

Experience of adhering to and maintaining systems and procedures

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult and influence at all levels

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Ability to develop effective working relationships externally and internally

Personal effectiveness, including time management and priority setting

High personal drive and resilience

Ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate and influence

Continuous application of personal/professional development

Ability to work in line with Company best practice and FCA legislation.

To ensure and work towards company objectives that will provide towards the delivery of agreed

departmental strategy and team goals by adding value to the company overall

An understanding of Open GI would be beneficial
