JRS are currently recruiting for an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our thriving client and assist with their growth.
This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a challenging and wide-ranging role, being heavily involved in the electro-mechanical aspects of building, testing, calibrating and repairing various equipment and instruments. Putting your skills into practice within a busy Production/R & D department to become a vital part of our client's successful business.
Duties include
* Perform electro-mechanical assembly, including sub-assemblies, of mechanical parts and wiring into chassis or box builds
* Build and test products to the highest quality standards ensuring dispatch deadlines are met
* Assemble/re-assemble various sizes of electro-mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulic actuators ensuring correct operation
* Ensure all build procedures are followed correctly and the procedures updated when required, to maintain product standards
* Conduct electronic testing and fault finding on complex analogue and digital equipment and systems
* Service and calibrate various products and systems
* Perform QA on products/systems prior to dispatch
* Install and commission equipment both on site and occasionally at customer locations
* Provide hands-on support for the life cycle, documentation, service and repair of products
* Be fully aware off all Health & Safety requirements whilst working
Required Skills
* Minimum 3 years relevant experience
* Good precision mechanical assembly knowledge and skills
* Knowledge of hydraulics is highly desirable
* Practical wiring and looming experience along with 3-phase wiring experience
* 0603 Surface mount and through hole PCB soldering skills
* Fault finding capability to component level
* Experience with linear guides, bearings, belts, pulleys, seals and similar mechanical components
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical circuit diagrams
* Identify and provide problem solving solutions in production and R&D environments
* Ability to understand schematics, manuals, plans and specifications
* Experience or knowledge of sensors and transducers (pressure/load) temp sensors advantageous
* Ability to work to agreed deadlines without close supervision
Benefits include
* GBP25,000 - GBP30,000 depending on experience

* Working 40 hours per week (flexible working times available between the hours of 8am - 6pm)
