Jark Bradford LTD commercial division are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Street Scene Operatives
The operative will be required to undertake environmental Waste & Street Scene activities such as the sweeping, clearance and removal of litter, central reservations and traffic islands, silt, leaves, weeds, and any other foreign materials from pavements, precincts, roads surfaces, grass verges, flower beds and land. To provide remedial grounds maintenance work such as grass cutting, hedge cutting, use of strimmers, blowers & weed-spraying as well as graffiti removal. In addition to this needs to be flexible enough to undertake duties such as waste collection activities in domestic, trade and recycling departments. To take ownership for the visible environment where deployed and provide a rapid response to such requests; with particular regard to attention to detail. This will include other duties as directed by the Assistant Manager which are aligned to other areas of the Street Scene operation and engaging in manual work. Post Holder will be expected to identify and report back any defects or issues relating to any other areas within Waste & Street Scene to the designated section. I.e. blocked gullies & street lights out to Highways Department; Issues on private land to Environmental Protection Department.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 6am - 12pm (30 hours per week)
