My client, based in the heart of Yorkshire within commutable distance to some of the most beautiful rural areas of the country, are a multinational and recognised leader in the design and manufacture of advanced automotive systems and components and a valued 1st tier supplier to global automotive car manufacturers, throughout the UK, Europe, North America and the Far East.

As the world's leading designer and manufacturer of these innovative products this well-established company now have a requirement for a Process Systems Engineer (Electro / Mechanical) for their advanced production team whose main job purpose will be to build, develop and commission new production assembly lines and test equipment including pneumatic, PLC logic and electronic control.

As a Production Process Systems Engineer you will be responsible for.

* The development, build and commission of new production equipment including PLC Control, Electrical / electronic control and pneumatics, within agreed timescales.

* Ensuring the new assembly manufacturing machines and test equipment are compatible with the jigs & fixtures concept and feasibility of DFM (Design for Manufacture).

* Ensuring feasibility of concepts, specifying and integrating equipment to create automated processes.

* PLC modifications of existing PLC programmes.

* The wiring, installation, programming and commissioning of new production equipment according to design intent.

* The smooth handover to maintenance of manufacturing machinery in order to ensure smooth launch into production.

* Supporting on cost savings and continuous improvement programmes.
