Housing Maintenance Assistant - IMMEDIATE

My client based in a well-established local authority in Essex is looking for a Maintenance/Repairs Officer to join their organisation on a temporary 1-month contract.

Essential requirements

Health and Safety legislation knowledge
Minimum 2 years of housing or property experience
Ability to prioritise workloads
Self-motivated with the ability to work on own
Excellent communication skills
You will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills and a really positive "can do", enthusiastic approach.Desirable

Qualification in repairs or maintenanceKey responsibilities

Undertake minor repairs
Prioritise and monitor all repairs/maintenance work
Document all repairs (both minor and major)
Carry out portable appliance testing and fire alarm tests
