RDR are recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician based in Leeds. This is a permanent full time vacancy working 08:00-16:00 Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary.
General Overview:
To provide a customer facing highly responsive maintenance service to the client. To undertake a wide range of reactive and planned maintenance tasks and carry these out to a very high standard. To provide technical guidance, assistance and information to other members of the maintenance team. To accept Authorised Person duties as defined within relevant HTM, appropriate to previous experience. To work with a high level of multi-skilling and flexibility.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Technician vacancy:
* As an electrical maintenance technician you will carry out maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of building, electrical services.
* Provide cover for absent colleagues as appropriate to maintain the service.
* Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines.
* Be able to maintain, service and repair a wide range of the building services listed below:
o Low voltage electrical distribution system and switchgear
o Emergency standby generating plant
o Fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
o Electrical control systems
o Building Management System
* As an Electrical Maintenance Technician you will have an awareness of the operational procedures and safe working practices of major items of plant and systems as described above
* Maintain records and complete service reports as appropriate.
* Carry out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
* Assist other skilled trades in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection and installation work.
* Where instructed, carry out minor repairs to the building fabric to ensure the safety and security of the Trust's premises, patients, staff and visitors.
* Undertake training to maintain and develop skills in line with the requirements of the service.
* Collaborate and co-operate with the Trust, partners and colleagues to deliver a customer focussed service
* Act as Competent or Authorised Person as directed and appointed.
* Liaise and undertake duties at other healthcare projects as directed.
* Undertake overtime as required to maintain the service
* Carry out any other duties as required commensurate with grade.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
* Qualified time served engineer with minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience required.
* Healthcare experience desirable but not essential.
* Cross-trade experience advantageous.
