Role - Powder Coater & Pre-treatment Technician - Letchworth - Hertfordshire.
Hours - 40Hrs with overtime opportunity
Rate - GBP10-GBP12 per hour DOE
Main Purpose of Job:
Hands on role powder coating a range of furniture, framework and ancillary components/materials
Main Role of Job:
Experience required,
Interpreting technical & safety data sheets to ensure correct finish/coverage and gloss level achieved,
Powdering direct to bare metal components to achieve Right First Time results,
Experienced in powder gun functions & able to strip down and re-assemble and clean out,
Setting up powder guns and equipment to compensate for different type of surface (bare metal/ undercoat/rework),
Completing various planned Maintenance tasks on all Powder Coat/Preparation equipment, tank remakes etc.,
Achieving high quality standards on both small jigged components to complex larger chassis,
Maintain a clean and organised environment within the department,
Maintain Pre-treatment Chemistry (Experience required),
Manage paint shop plant equipment and advise scheduled maintenance,
Use correct/defined consumables for preparation & sanding of metal components before powder application,
Skilled in masking & reworking powder coated parts,
Role is for 2nd in command powder coater, opportunity to progress to head of department
