We have a fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator to join a well-established manufacturing business at their Head office based in Stone, Staffordshire. A family owned business renowned for creating a positive working environment and brilliant culture. This opportunity is a contract role to cover a period of maternity leave therefore incredibly important that you have experience of working within this field. This role will suit an individual with a flare for working collaboratively across departments as well as a background in logistics or purchasing.
To be successful in this role you must be an organised person to control the logistics processes, provide administrative support, customer service, updating the CRM, as well as coordinating tasks between finance and the logistics team.
Key Duties
To carry out the following Logistics processes:
* Sales & purchase order processing
* Sales invoicing & Credit notes
* Stock management
* Coordinating transportation
* Communicating with suppliers, transport companies and the warehouse to ensure the timely delivery of orders
* Communicating with customers and colleagues to provide status updates and ensure customer satisfaction
* To assist and support the Logistics Manager as and when required
* To carry out weekly and monthly stock takes, reconciling physical stocks to computerised records and investigating any discrepancies
* To ensure customer pricing is accurate, sales office allocation per order is correct and that the information held on the business CRM is correct and up-to-date
Essential skills
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
* Experience of using CRM databases and manipulating Excel spreadsheets
* An organised person who can use their own initiative and work well in a team
* Purchasing administration experience
Person Requirements
* You should have strong communication skills and be a confident problem solver. We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude who is a self-motivator. As is good organisation skills and attention to detail.
