GK Apprenticeships is recruiting on behalf of a well-established IT business that is a certified Microsoft Gold Partner. 

They are currently looking for an Infrastructure Technician Apprentice to join them on a 15 month apprenticeship.

Your Role

As an Infrastructure Technician Apprentice, you’ll initially work on the 1st line helpdesk, assisting customers with their IT issues. As your knowledge increases, you’ll have the chance to take on other technical responsibilities. 

In this exciting role, you will learn how to:

- Respond to customers’ technical problems and carry out initial investigations 
- Carry out basic troubleshooting tasks on cloud servers and customer systems    
- Gather diagnostic information 
- Support general IT operational duties 
- Assist with company projects and deployments

About You

While no experience is essential, our ideal Infrastructure Technician Apprentice will possess: 

- At least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above, including English Language, Maths and preferably ICT
- Good communication skills 
- A positive and proactive attitude 
- To be self-motivated 

This apprenticeship is a fantastic stepping stone for those looking to become a 1st Line Support Technician, Technical Support Advisor, Helpdesk Technician, IT Support Advisor, Service Desk Technician or Junior Infrastructure Technician. 

Other organisations may call this role IT Apprentice, IT Support Apprentice, Trainee Helpdesk Advisor, Junior Technical Support Analyst or Apprentice IT Support Engineer.
