Our client, who is based within the Public sector in the Paisley area, have an urgent requirement for an Information Governance Project Officer. This is a temporary 3 month requirement, with the option of a possible extension period. The rate of pay will be GBP279 per day. This role is outside IR35.
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Travel within Glasgow, and may require travel for meetings around Scotland.
Basic Disclosure Scotland as minimum, and Current Driving Licence required.

Duties

To risk assess the Board's current information sharing agreements and determine where a Data Privacy Impact Assessment is required to ensure compliance with data protection legislation. Information sharing with external organisations and public bodies will be identified from the Board's Information Asset Register and includes data sharing with local authorities, voluntary organisations, Strathclyde police and the Scottish Fire Service.

The IG Project Officer will meet with the relevant service leads and the external organisations as necessary to identify what data sharing is taking place, with whom and for what purpose. They will then assess if an Information Sharing Agreement and/or a DataProtection Impact Assessment is required.

Assisting service leads to complete the Information Sharing Agreement for review by all parties, including the Data Protection Officer, before obtaining final sign off.
The IG Project Officer will also work with a number of senior managers to provide advice and documentation on IG requirements for a number of complex innovation projects. A robust understanding of data protection legislation is required for this role.

Key Skills
An in-depth understanding of the Data Protection Act, 2018 and the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
Sound understanding of data processing operations
Preferably a knowledge of the NHS
Excellent communication skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong ICT skills
