Full Time, Term time only - 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
Our client is one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the country, offering over 1000 courses to over 26,000 students every year.
They are now looking to recruit a Pastoral and Behavioural lead to join the 14-16 College to ensure that an efficient and effective service to students is provided at all times, particularly to vulnerable students, in line with the ‘student first’ ethos.
The main aim of this role is to enhance the student experience and outcomes by promoting and supporting high levels of respect, support and employability skills to ensure students achieve their full potential through a positive can-do culture.
Working flexibly and closely with students within 14-16 College with varied, backgrounds and levels to promote the raising of aspirations with a focus on achievement, attendance, retention, stretch and challenge, study skills and progression, you will also support the Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) and will be expected to attend meetings and training to develop knowledge in this area.
With experience of managing groups of students, coaching and engaging with students in an educational setting, candidates must have experience of record keeping, data inputting, and providing timely reports and hold (or be willing to work towards) counselling, coaching and mentoring qualifications. Experience of delivery, support and direct input to student groups e.g. for a range of health, wellbeing and E&D related issues would be beneficial but is not essential.
