Purpose of role and key accountabilities:
The ERP team are responsible for supporting all system users to ensure the integrity of the ERP system. The ERP Analyst is the key link between departments and stakeholders to ensure the achievement of this goal through implementation and on-going support of the Gardner Aerospace ERP system.
* Liaising between Finance, Production and other departments to design specific solutions for end-users of the ERP system;
* Continually monitoring and improving the system and procedures involving the use of ERP system, producing document where necessary;
* Maintaining key tables within ERP system and ensuring archiving is routinely performed;
* Understanding the specific needs of the Finance and Production departments in order to provide expert advice and training;
* Leading the decision making process with regard to new or changing processes within the ERP system;
* Creating and designing reports within the ERP system to provide end-users with specific information using Excel/ODBC and SharePoint;
* Providing day to day support for the Gardner Aerospace ERP sites;
* Testing and training of the modules in advance of sites going 'live';
* Maintaining the live, test and development environments of ERP system;
* Escalation of problems with Infor Extreme;
* SQL Server database administration;
* Management of replication between ERP sites.
Core skills/attributes needed:
* Educated to a degree level, or hold a professional qualification, or relevant business experience;
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills e.g. confidently able to create and use pivot tables (essential);
* Analytical and problem solving skills (essential);
* Good business process knowledge (essential); experience in conducting business month and year end processes (desirable);
* Knowledge of relational databases (essential);
* Experience using an ERP system (essential), preferably Syteline (desirable)
* Previous experience supporting Paragon/Jobshop/Javelin or a similar MRP system, along with the ability to create/modify Crystal reports (desirable)

* Time management skills - able to prioritise own workload and handle multiple deadlines;
* IT literature - able to confidently use Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Office;
* Inquisitive nature and a 'never relinquish' attitude; driven to achieve targets;
* Interpersonal skills that can be used to build essential relationships;
* Strong communication: written and verbal skills;
* Ability to successfully work in a team;
* Strong attention to detail.
The employee must also strive to support the elements of the SQCDP framework of the wider Gardner business;

Measurable performance indicators/objectives of role:
An annual appraisal will be held to ensure the employee and their Line Manager is happy with their performance, progress and development. Further reviews may also be held to discuss any ongoing training needs of the employee
