Senior Advocacy and Participation Worker
30 hours per week
£24396 per annum (pro rata)
SEA (Services for Empowerment and Advocacy) is a small social enterprise which delivers independent advocacy and participation services across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. For the past 10 years we have been helping people in housing, health and social care settings to have a voice and participate in the services they receive. We believe that enabling people to have their say influences change at both grassroots and strategic levels.
We are looking for a Senior Advocacy and Participation Worker to join our team and to help us to deliver our advocacy, participation and training services for homeless and vulnerable people. The postholder will also take a lead responsibility within the team for one of SEA’s three service areas.
You will either have a qualification at level 2 or above in advocacy and/or at least two years experience of offering advocacy services for homeless or vulnerable people. You will share SEA’s values and our model of ‘dialogue not confrontation’ and you will want to support and develop volunteers and trainees to take on roles within the organisation.
For an application pack, email claire@seaparticipation.org.uk. If you would like an informal discussion about the role, email james@seaparticipation.org.uk and we will be in touch. Please do not send CV’s.
Closing date is Tuesday 27th August 2019 at 9.00am. Interviews will take place on Thursday 12th September 2019.
