Our client, a large independent food manufacturer based in North Wales, is looking for a customer focussed NPD Process Manager to join their Product Development team. Reporting to the Head of Technical and NPD you will work collaboratively with the National Account Manager to grow and develop both new and seasonal products for existing and new customers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing and delivering new product Launches, ensuring products are performing to customer requirements in line with the agreed launch calendar

* Building good relationships with Customer Technical & Food Managers while ensuring compliance with their systems

* Being aware of relevant legislation affecting customers, ensuring that new developments are in line with this

* Understanding customer and company budgets to ensure efficiency and profitability, drafting a Business Case Plan for proposed launches

* Providing samples requested by customers on time, with supporting paperwork including preliminary specification details

* Managing a team of technologists, ensuring appropriate training and development needs are fulfilled

* Managing smooth liaison between the customer and the internal NPD team so that the requirements of the customer are clearly understood and met as part of the process

* Attending internal and customer factory trials supporting the Process Technologist

* Writing detailed product briefs for new product launches

Essential / Desirable skills include:

* Previous experience as a Product Developer, working closely with customers and internal teams within a complex Food Manufacturing environment

* A strong communicator who has an ability to influence others and has experience presenting new concepts to customers

* Experience managing, training and mentoring a small team

* Project Management experience

* Organised with a strong attention to detail

* Innovative and Creative with a passion for food

* Proficient on Microsoft Office with a commercial understanding
