£26,999 - £28,785 per annum

Bridgend County Borough Council is committed to ensuring the safety of its employees and those who use our services. 

As a Compliance Officer (Fire and Radon) you will have relevant qualifications and experience in building compliance specialising in Fire. You will monitor the range of compliance functions which relate to the management of assets occupied by Bridgend County Borough Council and provide an “internal challenge” to ensure that the Council’s buildings comply with the current legislation.

You will have extensive knowledge of Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2015 including Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999. You must have previous experience of undertaking fire risk assessments and other building compliance inspections, assessing fire and other risks, making balanced, evidence based judgements on appropriate controls and prioritisation of works.

Working within the Corporate Landlord Department you will demonstrate an ability to work on your own initiative and contribute effectively to the department.

Byddwch yn monitro'r amrywiaeth o swyddogaethau cydymffurfio  sy'n ymwneud â rheoli asedau a feddiannir gan Gyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr ac yn darparu “her fewnol” er mwyn sicrhau bod adeiladau'r Cyngor yn cydymffurfio â'r ddeddfwriaeth bresennol.

Bydd gennych wybodaeth helaeth am Orchymyn Diwygio Rheoleiddio (Diogelwch Tân) 2005 gan gynnwys Deddf Iechyd a Diogelwch yn y Gwaith 1974 a Rheoliadau Rheoli Iechyd a Diogelwch yn y Gwaith 1999. Rhaid bod gennych brofiad blaenorol o gynnal asesiadau risg tân ac arolygiadau cydymffurfiaeth adeiladau eraill, asesu tân a risgiau eraill, gwneud penderfyniadau cytbwys, seiliedig ar dystiolaeth ar reolaethau priodol a blaenoriaethu gwaith.
