Contract Type: Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

We are recruiting for a Trainer Facilitator to join our South Devon Marine Academy to instruct/facilitate learning for students enrolled on a range of programmes as assigned by the Section Head. You will be required to assess students as appropriate by formal or informal method as required by external examining bodies and internal procedures.

You will contribute to curriculum development and implementation of pastoral and welfare systems provided for students and continue personal development in the areas of both subject knowledge and teaching/instructing methods. Develop and maintain good working relationships with external and internal customers and undertake such duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with grade at initial place of work or at other locations in the College "catchment" area including, routine maintenance and operational servicing of vessels and safety equipment.

The ideal candidate will have RYA instructor qualifications, relevant training and/or qualifications in a marine related subject area and experience within a marine role, preferably with sailing and/or engineering background/ boatbuilding. You will work as part of a team contributing to student developments.
