ROLE: Warehouse Supervisor
SALARY: GBP22,000.00 - GBP26,000.00
HOURS: 35 Hours per week
Stafforce are actively recruting an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to work on the Twilight shift with our client based close to the Dewsbury area of Yorkshire. Our client is a market leader in their industry and their sector demands strict quality, product integrity an high level of accuracy. The job role therefore requires that you are working in accordacne with the warehouse quality management systems at all times, striving for 100% accuracy and maximum productivity in all tasks.
Candidates must have the availability and be approachable for any direct reports to discuss any issues affecting them both personal and professional. Have the ability to flex between hardware & chemical operations, providing support for the operations team & the business if required.
Purpose Overall responsibility for an operational warehouse department usin the correct management tools, to ensure effective and efficient processes.
Principle Accountabilities
* Maintain and develop strong communication between management and team members
* Ensure that all staff in the warehouse comply with the compliance levels set within the warehouse
* Develop and maintain effciency improvements relating to the department
* Plan and implement training to ensure furture development of all team members
* Manage the staff within a warehouse department, handling any isues in a fair, timely, professional manner.
* Ensure compliance with the companys Health & Safety policy.
* Manage customer issues for sites served by the DC
* Manage the handling and packaging of goods as per ADR, IMDG & IATA, and the implementation of any changes.
* Identify and manage work process improvement projects and cost reduction efforts.
* Review any changes regarding transportation
* Participate in the recruitment, selection and contracting of Warehouse staff as required to meet objectives.
Background Experience & Qualifications
Proven leadership skills and experience in a distribution, inventory warehouse management or related field.
Experience with Quality Managemnt Systems Experience of shipping chemicals - DGSA, ADR, IMDG, IATA
Proficient in Excel, Word, Pwerpoint, MS Outlook. Benefits
Monday to Friday - 35 hours a week, twilight shift - Monday to Thurs 16:00-24:00 Friday 12:00-20:00
