Director of Finance | North West | Attractive six figure salary

East Lancashire NHS Trust is seeking to appoint an outstanding Director of Finance to shape the financial structure, direction and reputation of the Trust both internally, across Pennine Lancashire and Lancashire and South Cumbria system.

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust (ELHT) was established in 2003 and is a large integrated health care organisation providing high quality acute secondary healthcare for the people of East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen. They employ 8,000 staff, some of whom are award winning and internationally renowned for their work and achievements. We treat over 700,000 patients a year from the most serious of emergencies to planned operations and procedures. Their high quality healthcare services are offered across five hospital sites, and various community sites.

The Trust's new Finance Director will join a high performing Executive Team who have achieved significant progress in the delivery of our operational plan and strategic objectives. This role comes at an exciting time in the development of Pennine Lancashire ICP and therefore offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of the ambitious transformation and Improvement agenda. They are seeking an experienced finance professional with a strong track record of leadership and financial management obtained at or near Board level in a complex environment. As one of 7 participants in NHS Improvement's Vital Signs Improvement Programme, the successful candidate will also bring expertise in improvement methodology as the lead for the programme across the Trust and the ICP.
Strong leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills will be essential and you will bring the gravitas to influence and engage our stakeholders in the Trust and externally. Commercially astute and adaptable, you will bring your expertise and knowledge to the Board and will inspire ELHT's dedicated Finance, Contracting, Information, Procurement, Estates and Facilities and I.T. teams. Most importantly you will share our values and put patients first in the delivery of Safe, Personal and Effective Care.
