Citizens Advice Hull & East Riding (CAH&ER) is a busy, progressive and dynamic service serving a city and a large rural county. CAH&ER work together to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients.

 The Community Connect Project is funded by the Lottery for 3 years and  will work within communities in North Hull providing advice, support and information on the issues that matter to them, with the overall aim of reducing financial and digital exclusion and empowering residents to help themselves.

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Salary: £24,998 per annum pro-rata                 Actual: £12,499

We are looking for an enthusiastic community development worker to work in close partnership with local residents and community leaders.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting residents to fully engage with the Project. Taking a collaborative approach with partners and residents, the post holder will deliver a range of innovative activities including events, workshops and informal learning opportunities, 1 - 1 mentoring and volunteering roles out in the community. 

Ideally, you will have experience of community development work, building networks and community engagement. However, we are also willing to consider applications for aspiring community development workers if you feel you have skills that are transferable to meet the person specification. You will have the ability to engage and inspire local stakeholders and residents in areas of high deprivation to achieve maximum impact and benefit for the local community.
