Main Responsibilities:
*Develop and introduce Lean methodologies.
*Support design, implementation and continuously challenge improvement on the Operating Systems, along the value streams to deliver and react quicker to customer demands.
*Support with training and coach plant functional teams and APUs to achieve their operational goals via Lean EOS tools such as OMS, LTM, MPT, Standard hours, MPE, Ergonomics, MSD, Visual Factory.
*Embed the culture of Lean thinking by providing support and coaching to key APU personnel towards a Lean Manufacturing plant. Incorporate the culture of Lean, leading and promoting CI events.
*Build and maintain an excellent level of capability and Lean/IE competency across all APU's/functions.
*Regularly attend monthly communicating meetings to ensure understanding of the organisation the importance of meeting customer as well as statutory and regulatory requirements.
*Proactively ensure quality procedures and guidelines are followed to ensure quality objectives are met
*Escalate any customer quality concern immediately upon identification
Qualifications & Skills Required:
*Knowledge of Lean/IE tools such as VSM, PDCA Problem Solving, Standard Work, 5S and 8 Wastes.
*Experience in shop floor manufacturing areas with developed understanding of processes, material flow and information flow.
*Formal qualifications in an Industrial or Mechanical Engineering related discipline, Degree / HND level preferred. Desirable to have undertaken graduate level training modules in Lean/IE.
*Self-motivation and willingness to learn is essential to be working in a world-class organisation with the latest manufacturing techniques.
*Demonstrates strong presentation and communication skills -both written and oral- with tenacity and enthusiasm in your attitude to influence people and to get your ideas across all staff levels.
