A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work within the marketing and communications team of a provider of award-winning, high quality mental health, community and learning disability services within the Bradford District.

The marketing and communications team has a key role in promoting the organisation as an employer and a leading provider of health services across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfdale, Craven and Wakefield, covering both internal and external communications.

Main duties of the role will consist of but will not be limited to:

Supporting the delivery of the Trust's marketing communications' strategy through a range of tactics including traditional media, print, digital, events, stakeholder engagement and e-bulletins, and guiding internal teams on the most effective content and channels to meet their communication needs.
Developing guides/internal protocols for staff, particularly on digital activity, and supporting staff on generating /uploading content to the Trust's website.
Lead responsibility for the corporate content and development of the Trust's digital channels, including drafting and uploading engaging content and developing a proactive social media plan to support the Trust's engagement strategy.
Leading on evaluation of our digital activity and the team's monthly performance report - always seeking continuous improvement.
Media handling including drafting and issuing news/ features to external media; responding to media enquiries; co-ordinating interviews, including briefing staff; and organising media events.
Supporting on delivering the Trust's annual staff recognition event, both internally and externally, with responsibility for specific areas.
Able to translate complex, sensitive or contentious information into accessible content for internal and external audiences.
Working closely with communication colleagues in partner organisations including providers, commissioners and regulators, on a range of proactive and reactive communications activity.
Contributing to the successful development, delivery and evaluation of broad-based external marketing campaigns, to support the Trust's operational priorities.
Contributing and/ or leading on delivery of key corporate projects and the lead contact for individual services/ teams.
Supporting the wider team on communications support for incidents, in line with the Trust's business continuity plan, working with partner organisations as required.
Guiding staff on the Trust's house style, branding and social media guidance.

Ensuring effective use of resources and working within budgets at all times.
Maintaining confidentiality on any information relating to staff, patients and the organisation.
Maintaining a good understanding of new communication channels/technologies, particularly digital - always scoping more effective options to reach our core audiences.
Working alongside colleagues to manage/action internal requests for communications support.
The post holder will, from time to time, be required to carry out additional duties, not specified on this job description but commensurate with the grade of the post.

Essential requirements:

Qualifications - A' Levels or equivalent, Degree or equivalent knowledge (through experience) in communication and/or PR.

Driving licence.

Experience - Experience in a communications role and leading work for services/ areas. Experience of digital media activity - web/social - and familiar with the broad range of digital tools, with evidence of delivering and evaluating results.

This is a full time role (37.5 hours a week) Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. The duration of the role will be for 9 months, with the view of extension.
