Colchester Borough Homes is an award-winning organisation providing management and maintenance services to around 7,000 residential, commercial and public buildings in the local area. We are an ambitious organisation focused on delivering great value services that make a difference.
As our new Governance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the corporate governance of Colchester Borough Homes runs smoothly. You will provide company secretarial services, provide timely advice, arrange appropriate Board member training and development, and maintain a comprehensive governance policy framework. You will work closely with the Chief Executive and the Chair of the Board to forward plan, ensuring that all matters including key compliance activities are completed in a timely fashion.
Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with confidence to initiate and progress work, have experience of servicing senior boards and committees and will have an understanding of good governance. You will possess great communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to form effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
