A vacancy has arisen in the university’s Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Relations (CCSR) team for a Media Relations and Public Affairs Officer, providing maternity cover until approximately July 2020.

The CCSR is a friendly and exciting place to work and you’ll have the opportunity to tell the Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) story on a diverse range of issues. You will help positively promote and position LJMU in the media, on social media and with key external stakeholders.

Working in an agile and flexible environment, you will be responsible for the front-line delivery of the university’s communications activity to support the institution’s wider strategy and its positioning as a civic university.
 

With excellent writing and editorial skills, including proof reading, you must be able to demonstrate substantial previous experience in communications, PR, media relations and/or public affairs. You will have knowledge and understanding of the media and social media and an interest and passion for higher education and for helping LJMU to have a positive impact in the Liverpool City Region and beyond. You will be a self-starter with enthusiasm and determination to help LJMU succeed.
