Pipefitter/ Welder required for a permanent position within an engineering service provider, this role will be based in Burton Latimer.
Qualification requirements:
Must have some form of Mechanical qualification (BTEC and/or NVQ3).
Be certified to, or capable of being certified to BS 4872
Role overview:
To carry out Pipefitting and Welding activities across an industrial food manufacturing site.
Details of role:
Have a good knowledge of food hygiene safety requirements when carrying out pipe fitting work within a food factory environment.
Be able to read P&ID drawings
Be able to carry out pipework installations to the relevant British Standards and best practices
Be able to work under own initiatives
Be used to working under the pressure of breakdown situations.
Be competent in carrying out small bespoke fabrication work to meet client's requirements working with stainless steel and carbon steel
To be competent in operating fabrication machinery such as hydraulic guillotine, hydraulic brake press, rollers, band saw and pillar drill within an onsite workshop.
Be coded to carry out all or some of the following welding procedures in both carbon and stainless steel where applicable
TIG
MIG
MMA
Pipefitting - mild steel, stainless steel etc.
Aluminium Welding

Ability to communicate with people at all levels including Clients
Hours of work:
40 hours per week: Monday - Friday (8.00am - 4.30pm)
Overtime may be required
