A fixed-term position has arisen at the company's Scunthorpe site for an Engineering Stores Coordinator

Scope of the Role:

+ To ensure timely resource of maintenance and technical spares for the site
+ Ensuring the stores database is effectively populated, introduced and maintained
+ Booking in/out of equipment as required through the database
+ Sourcing quotations and raising orders for parts and equipment

Key Responsibilities:

+ Ensure cost effective management of critical and technical spares with regards to inventory levels vs lead times.
+ Maintain engineering stock levels to support ongoing manufacturing and scheduled maintenance plans
+ Raise and track purchase orders for all engineering stores requirements and maintain records appropriately
+ Day to day accountability for all stores based spares and equipment
+ Ensure all health and safety and housekeeping procedures are adhered to during all of the daily processes
+ Excellent organisational skills, a strong sense of urgency with the ability to work under pressure.
+ To ensure that all accounts are set up with the suppliers to purchase spares or service requirements.
+ Support continuous improvement activities throughout the engineering stores.

Budgetary responsibilities:

+ To control budgets and maintenance spend in line with monthly and annual budgets

Person Specification:

Qualifications
:

+ Numerate and literate to minimum O Level / GCSE "C" - Essential

Experience:

+ Experience within a customer facing role and inventory management - Essential
+ Basic engineering background - Desirable
+ Schedule buying within the engineering industry - Desirable

Behaviours:

+ A "can do" attitude with propensity to problem solve - Essential
+ Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks - Essential
+ Reliable and punctual - Essential

Business / Functional Skills:

+ Excellent IT skills (including working with spreadsheets, databases and email) - Essential
+ Excellent communication skills at all levels - Essential
+ Negotiation skills - Essential
+ Excellent level of English (written and verbal) - Essential
+ Ability to establish credibility within the site, with customers and with suppliers - Essential
+ Knowledge of AS400 purchase ordering system - Desirable

Working hours:

+ 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 1.30pm Friday - Total 37.5 hours per week
