Your line manager: Sales Team Supervisor

The Role:

As a Account Manager you are responsible for maximising sales and profitability for the organisation by proactively achieving personal targets. In doing so, you will maintain Northamber's proactive and professional client relationships. You will pride yourself on delivering a proactive customer service and helping your customers grow

Key Responsibilities:


* Delivering against organisational and personal KPI's including margin, revenue and activity levels

* Developing and maintaining customer relationships

* Developing, qualifying and following up on sales leads with new and existing clients

* Following up e-shots and marketing activities with prospective clients daily

* Promote Northamber's services and accessories on every sale to increase margin, revenue and value


* Continually update and maintain records of progress in NewView

* Owning responsibility for the accuracy, integrity and completeness of the database

* Attending training sessions provided by vendors and product teams; requesting training for areas you are less confident in

* Developing a positive and pro-active relationship with supporting team members

* Seeking and sharing with commercial, information on competitors and the market in general, to benchmark rates and ensure that our prices, stock portfolio and bids are competitive, to achieve the greatest level of profitability


* To meet or exceed monthly margin and revenue targets.

* Have account plans for all you accounts allocated to you.

* To provide a monthly sales margin and revenue forecast to your line manager with a minimum of 90% accuracy whilst maintaining your pipeline consistently

* Achieve minimum activity levels of at least 3 hours per day on the phone and achieve contact with at least 20 accounts daily (or as set by your manager)

* Develop new products into your existing reseller base from our existing product portfolio per week

* Growth of trading accounts as defined in 121's

* Minimum of 80% of allocated accounts to be traded each month

* All profiles and contacts in NewView system are up to date for your accounts.


* Account maps should be available for all accounts that you manage and all information about your account should always be up to date on the CRM system. (Account maps should contain relevant information about account e.g. Size of company, type of business they specialise in, geography covered, numbers of staff, turnover, products sold, products they buy from Northamber, product opportunities to develop, Discounts by products, all contacts - purchasing, sales, divisions, management, other offices.)

* To work as part of a team with product sales management and other internal sales teams sharing information and maximising effectiveness within the account base, utilising product sales to contact your accounts and ensure you are constantly working toward increasing the product portfolio within you accounts.

* Ensure you have a competent and working knowledge of Northamber's portfolio.

* Ensure you are constantly up selling, and cross selling

* You must identify and sell training, consultancy and solutions within your account to ensure you are supporting Northamber's value added distribution proposition
