If the answer is YES, Calon Cymru are looking for someone like you to join our Cardiff team as a Recruitment Officer.

Your new role:

Joining our team, the Recruitment Officer will actively recruit quality foster carers to care for children who are looked after and young people by coordinating local recruitment activity and providing administrative support to meet regional targets. Day to day responsibilities include:

-Be the first point of contact for prospective foster carers living in your region providing high levels of customer service and a positive experience of the Agency.
-To welcome visitors to the office and provide a high-quality visitor/user experience.
-Liaise with the Recruitment Manager which will involve the monitoring of the enquiry progress from receipt of the enquiry until the initial visit is complete.
-Accurately maintain the agency database to log enquiry details from prospective foster carers.
-Research, organise and attend carer recruitment events for the region, this may involve evening and weekend work. Flexibility is essential for his role.
-Coordinate the involvement of the local social work teams to support recruitment activities within the region.
-In liaison with the regional social work teams, set up and supervise a group of foster carer volunteers who can assist at local recruitment events.
-Share local activity plans and regional news with the PR & Communications team and actively support local marketing activities through the use of both traditional and social media.

What you will need:

The successful Recruitment Officer must have a proven track record of recruitment and onboarding; ideally within Social or Foster care. You will have an excellent understanding of the full recruitment process and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

The successful Recruitment Officer will have a good understanding of social media and it's use within recruitment; as well as have experience of planning career events.
