Business Development Manager
Our client is a UK procurement and project management business with offices in Leicester, UK and Shenzhen, China. They have an excellent track record of enabling their clients to take advantage of China's low cost manufacturing base whilst achieving their corporate objectives in terms of ethical sourcing. Regardless of the product or the industry, their philosophy remains the same: they manage risk and reduce the uncertainty associated with trading in an unfamiliar overseas market.
Working closely with the UK account management team this role will provide sales leads of company’s looking to source products from China. Generating new leads and contacts in the UK, the role will add significant strategic value to the future of the business.
Generating new client enquiries and working with the UK account team to deliver excellent customer service, you must ensure a full understanding of the client’s requirements, build relationships with new clients and create a new client base of company’s needing to source from China.
With experience of dealing with companies that require China sourcing and proven sales experience, candidates should be able to work in a team environment, be self motivated and have strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure that the client brief is understood.
A good eye for detail is essential and you must be able to prioritise your work load autonomously; demonstrating a positive solution focused approach to your role and a high level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
