The Company

Our client is a leading JCB dealership with over 20 years of industry expertise. With sites based across the South East, they have a diverse customer base, from small one-person businesses to major international companies.

They’re currently looking for an Apprentice Engineer to join them for a three year apprenticeship and learn how to efficiently maintain and repair construction industry equipment. At the end of the apprenticeship, you will have gained NVQs at Level 2 and 3 in Construction & Plant. You will also be able to progress into a Workshop Engineering role.

The Role

As an Apprentice Engineer, you will learn how to efficiently maintain and repair construction industry equipment.

You’ll work on plant equipment at our client’s workshop, as well as spending 12 weeks at college each year, three weeks at the JCB factory college in Uttoxeter and two weeks per annum at the JCB Manufacturer Training School.

The three-year programme will also involve:

- On the job workshop/field training under the supervision of a Senior Engineer
- A shadowing and mentoring programme
- Health and safety training
- Access to the JCB manufacturer online training procedures portal
- Gaining an NVQ Level III in Construction Plant Maintenance

About You

Interested? To join us as an Apprentice Engineer, you will need

- Ideally, GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C or near equivalent
- To be capable of delivering results under pressure and to strict deadlines
- To be motivated and customer focused
- A professional, cheerful and co-operative approach
- To be quality focused
- Excellent time management skills

The scheme is open to applications from people aged 16+ with no upper age limit.
