This is an exciting time to join this international travel business and play a key part in running the day to day trade and consumer press office and supporting the Marketing Director with all corporate and internal communications activity. The role will have lots of scope for creativity and innovation and will cover several new product launches and important media trips. Working closely with strong press and social teams and external service agencies you will have strong media relationships with both the travel trade and consumer press and enjoy an excellent reputation with the travel media. An excellent track record of building relationships with editors, journalists, and bloggers across relevant media including travel, lifestyle, and activity. Our client can offer some flexible working and/ or a reduced number of days per week for the ideal candidate. Good Salary + Benefits (Flexible working with possibility of 4 day week)
* Excellent track record as a PR professional gained within the travel, tourism or hospitality sectors
* Strong knowledge of the PR industry with an excellent range of media contacts within travel and content creation opportunities
* Thorough knowledge and experience of all media channels
* Experience of working in a matrix environment within an international business would be useful
* Strong network of media contacts ideally within the travel, hospitality, lifestyle media (trade and consumer)
* Problem solver with a can-do attitude and excellent organisational skills to manage and deliver multiple projects
* Proven success in planning and delivering PR & Media events
* Excellent relationships and a reputation for delivering compelling content, copy and press releases that engage with the relevant media and journalists
* Confident presentation skills will be required to represent the business on panels, familiarisation trips and internally to head office and global markets where relevant
* Flexibility to travel within the UK - Europe and further afield when necessary
* Computer literate - highly numerate with good budgetary and forecasting skills
