Our client, a Northamptonshire based Local Authority are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Rough Sleeper Worker to join them to provide a quality and assertive outreach service to help to tackle, prevent and reduce homelessness and rough sleeping in the area

They have some fantastic services and organisations that are working incredibly hard to tackle and prevent rough sleeping in the borough, however they are now looking at new avenues following on from receiving funding to tackle rough sleeping

The role:

Providing a quality, assertive outreach service that helps tackle, prevent and reduce homelessness and rough sleeping
Working Proactively with other services and organisations to ensure that the housing and support needs of people who are sleeping on the streets are fully assessed
Contribute positively to a successful rough sleeper strategy within the borough and county to prevent homelessness
Undertake regular street outreach, carrying out assessment and lead on crisis intervention work
Identify hidden homelessness in the area targeting known rough sleeper hotspotsTo meet the requirements of this key role:

You will be extremely well organised, you will have excellent communication skills and you will be an adept problem solver and influencer.
Friendly, impartial and approachable, you will inspire an innovative and inclusive, solution-focused, multi-agency approach.
In order to succeed, you will need to be an excellent team player, understand the challenges facing homeless people, have the ability to gather and interpret data and information, and have experience of working with people who are sleeping rough, ex-offenders and/or people with substance misuse or mental health issues.
