Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Exeter

Exeter College Day Nursery is situated in the City Centre in a modern purpose-built nursery.  We are open 50 weeks of the year and cater for 40 children a day.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nursery Cook/Housekeeper to join our team.  We take great pride in the food we serve to the children and the role requires planning and preparing nutritionally balanced healthy snacks and meals daily, ensuring all dietary needs are met.  The hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen must be of the highest standard and in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation.  The role also requires keeping up to date with the laundry for the setting.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience and hold a Food Hygiene Certificate but it is not a requirement as training would be given.

This role attracts the following excellent benefits:

  • 28 days per annum holiday plus bank holidays
  • Christmas closure, in addition to annual holiday entitlement
  • Defined benefit pension scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme which allows you to buy a new bike but spread the cost of it throughout the year
  • Staff development
  • On site gym, H2B spa and @34 Restaurant
  • Employee Assistance Programme
