Production Supervisor
The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Operations Management Team, to enhance communication, ensure day to day activities are carried out, targets are met and to take responsibility for their product group's performance and productivity.
Communicating with Operations Management Team and other service or supply departments
Planning, organising and prioritising production resource
Setting targets and goals in conjunction with operations management for their area
Managing and presenting local area Key Performance Indicator information
Monitoring and reporting timekeeping
Provide daily / weekly updates to the Operations Management team
Ensuring adherence to all manufacturing process, specifications and quality management systems and generation of NCR's where required
Assist in organising the weekly work of the production operatives in the area to ensure targets are achieved
Assessment and display of resource requirements for both people and equipment for all planned requirements
Maintenance and calibration controls of all equipment within their local areas
Maintenance and control of all ESD, 5S, consumables, notices and housekeeping requirements for their areas
Act as a Kaizen channel to ensure accurate information and correct priorities are captured for all improvements and suggestions
Communicating team briefs
Training co-ordination, mentoring and disciplinary activity and counselling of manufacturing team members as required.
Health & Safety
Attend all required health and safety training sessions when asked.
Contribute to health and safety performance continually.
Ensure that all safety devices are correctly fitted, adjusted and maintained.
Ensure that all safety requirements and notices are observed and that any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplied is worn.
Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained.
Ensure their own activities comply with all applicable health and safety legislation and other requirements.
Ensuring that their own activities comply with all applicable Health and Safety Legislation and other requirements by conducting audits and general everyday observations.
Keeping updated on Health and Safety Requirements through notice boards.
Participate in emergency response and fire drills where required.
Perform all work activities in accordance with work instructions and procedures.
Reporting all work-related accidents, injuries, illness or potentially hazardous conditions immediately.
To ensure at all times Health and Safety is maintained in line with TD&S, legal and regulatory body requirements within the department.
A high quality of customer service to both internal and external customers must be maintained at all times.
Adhere to full ESD requirements at all times.
All records and data must be accurately maintained and up-to-date
Conduct audits and inspections when requested
Ensure all information is processed both accurately and timely
Ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality performance standards
Ensure work is done in accordance with the necessary instructions and procedures
Maintain a high quality of work including all necessary paperwork
Work in accordance with existing procedures
