About the role
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and ambitious HR and payroll administrator to work as a front line HR Assistant. You will be part of a small team, which comprises of People and Culture Managers, both Global and UK, Learning and Development and Recruitment. These areas are of critical importance for the organisation.
We are a small team that collaborates constantly, and the HR Assistant will play a key role in supporting our People and Culture ambitions, and in helping Practical Action achieve its wider goals. You will have responsibility for ensuring the department has the necessary administrative support as well as the scope to support in HR, payroll and project work.
Critical to the success of the role will be the ability to prioritise workloads and engage with staff, the role offers an amazing opportunity to be involved in projects for an ambitious administrator who is seeking a challenging but, ultimately, incredibly rewarding role.
About you
You have a solid understanding of HR, have worked with payroll and developed expertise. You have ambitions to develop your skills and be committed to your own development with a CIPD qualification. You are confident at building relationships and communicating with a wide range of people, whether that is in writing or verbally.
You will be highly organised and a confident problem solver. And whilst you will need to be passionate for this area of work, you will also need to be a calm under pressure
