Consultant Ecologist - Oxford

My clients are an Ecological Consultancy that specialises in providing ecological services to a wide range of well-established clients in a mix of both the public and private sectors. The Oxford-based office has a great deal of experience and expertise in advising on different projects nationwide with a focus on integrating ecological habitats and wildlife benefits within new developments. They are a professional and friendly team of enthusiastic ecologists who thrive on innovation and delivering high-quality output.

To thrive during your time at this role it is required that you have:

At least four years of relevant experience or previous experience in a similar role
A minimum of one protected species licence preferably either Great Crested Newt or Bats
The ability to work independently as well as being a strong team member
Drive to develop skills and deliver projects to the highest standard
Excellent report writing skills, including survey reports, EcIAs, HRAs, protected species licence applications and tenders.
Full driving licence
Membership of CIEEM or close to achieving
During your time at this role you will be:

Carrying out ecological surveys and preparing assessment reports of varying kinds;
Preparing management plans, method statements, mitigation and enhancement strategies etc;
Ecology-related planning and development work;
Applications for protected species licences;
BREEAM assessments;
Commissioned research for statutory agencies, local authorities and other bodies;
Day-to-day dealings with clients, and their agents and contractors;
Responsibility for the management of individual projects and budgets etc
