Overview of role

Act as the primary interface between HR and the lines-of-business, diagnosing organisational and personnel issues and executing HR solutions to strategically address problems and serve as a trusted advisor on all HR concerns.

Main Duties

  • Partner with internal/external support services to provide excellent HR support and expertise to the business.
  • Review and update of all HR processes, policies and benefits.
  • Partner with senior management in developing team plans to support the business strategy, change management and organisational design initiatives.
  • Be an Employee Champion by ensuring that employees' voice is heard and their interests are fairly represented and, is accessible, approachable and constructively challenges leaders when appropriate.
  • Coach and empower managers regarding HR issues/challenges and facilitate effective and proactive decision-making to ensure solutions are realistic, fair, timely, consistent, transparent and effective.
  • Work independently, with high skill and integrity; taking a hands-on approach interfacing with team members, managers and business leaders at all levels.
  • Proactively identify people related opportunities that have positive environmental and operational impact and work with internal customers and colleagues to co-create solutions.
  • Lead HR business process excellence initiatives and participate in / facilitate cross functional process improvement teams.

Person Specification

  • CIPD recognised qualification - minimum level 5 (Essential)
  • Minimum 3 years served in a broad based HR generalist focused role (Essential)
  • Comprehensive understanding of contemporary human resources trends (Essential)
  • Strong business acumen, excellent communication skills and ability to work well across different functions (Essential)
  • Ability to influence and coach employees at all levels across the organisation in order to improve capability, performance and decision making (Essential)
  • Operates with integrity, honesty and confidentiality (Essential)
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise own workload (Essential)
  • Significant experience working in a fast-paced environment (Desirable)
