SAE is part of the Navitas Group, which is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, language training, workforce education and student recruitment.

We are looking for a HR Assistant to provide administrative and transactional support across the full range of HR duties, ensuring employment and data management compliance, accuracy of records, adherence to policy and procedure, and support to the HR Business Partner. You will also be required to take on some general administrative duties for the General Manager, as required.

The HR Assistant Role

Experience in HR is not essential, as this is an HR entry post and training will be provided. What is important to us is finding someone to join our team who is proactive, enthusiastic, able to pick up tasks quickly, is accurate and has an eye for detail, uses their initiative, has great communication skills, and takes pride in delivering an amazing professional service to our people.

Key responsibilities:

Provide administrative support including for the employee lifecycle, including new starters, onboarding, contract variations, staff records, leavers, performance, maternity, etc.;
Fully support the recruitment and selection process by checking and drafting job descriptions, advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, overseeing the candidate experience;
Monitor the HR inbox and respond to queries as required;
Ensure full data protection for compliance of staff record keeping and handling, confidentiality, policy and process, UKVI, HMRC and other legislation;
Assist in the collection of information and process data for staff returns, e.g. HESA;
Provide administrative support to the General Manager where required.
Involvement in other projects and tasks, as required.

Requirements for the HR Assistant Role

Essential Criteria

Educated to A-Level or equivalent experience;
Proven record of excellent customer service and administration delivery;
Computer literacy and accuracy skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and ability to pick up to IT systems quickly;
Flexible and adaptable approach to work, and ability to priorities, organise and manage workloads to always meet deadlines;
Experience working in an administrative role, dealing with sensitive and confidential information;
Must have right to live and work in the UK.
