Staffline is recruiting for an Automotive Export Planner, working for one of our most prestigious client's based in Lichfield

The rate of pay is GBP12.82 per hour

You will be required to work from 8AM to 4PM from Monday to Friday. The role is maternity cover for a period of 12 months

Your time at work

The candidate will be working in a dynamic environment catering for automotive giant BMW Group. Situated in our client's transport office coordinating the planning of material from BMW UK production plants to European destinations, providing customer support with delivery queries and ensuring quality requirements are met for a number of crucial KPI parameters. The role will consist of key communication elements cross department and external fact holders. Maintaining the time critical requirements are met and exception management is performed in real time. This role will also consist of elements of administration with creating delivery documents, basic financial tasks, date entry/recording via excel.

Main accountabilities to include but not be limited to:

Plan, organise and control activities related to transportation
Excellent customer service
Respect the law on road traffic public, domestic and international traffic of goods
Coordinate team that prepares all documents and obtain all documents necessary for legal circulation on public roads
Find optimal solutions for transport and communicate solutions to the clients
Assisting in the compilation of weekly transport statistics
Handle day to day queries from internal departmentsOur perfect worker

We are looking for a candidate that has been involved in the transport industry, dual warehouse and office experience is required - although an intermediate understanding is acceptable.

The ideal candidate will have the following skill base:

Computer literate and competent with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, good keyboard skills
Communication, forward planning and negotiation skills
Ability to maintain records of vehicle operations
Numeracy skills
Good attention to detailA previous knowledge of transport systems and driving laws is also desired although this can be trained over a period of time. A solid geographical knowledge of Europe is highly recommended and a second language is also highly advantageous to the role (PL/DE/FR/RO).
