SHE Systems & Environmental Advisor

Macildowie are representing a market leader who is looking to add to their dynamic team, My client are looking to recruit an SHE System and Environmental Advisor.

ROLE OVERVIEW

A successful candidates will be required to manage and coordinate the Health & Safety and Environmental management systems and provide environmental specialist support to its numerous sites throughout Central England and Humber.

Based out of the Leicestershire site and reporting to the Head of SHE a successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Manage and maintain the my clients ISO 14001 / 18001 (45001) management systems.
• Manage and coordinate its internal audit programme for H&S and Environmental.
• Assume the role as lead internal auditor for all ISO 14001 / 18001 (45001) audits.
• Conduct the migration of my clients H&S management system from OHSAS18001 to ISO45001.
• Ensure collation and submission of environmental reporting data to external stakeholders.
• Produce environmental performance reports when requested.
• Provide advice, guidance and support on environmental regulations and other matters.
• Act as the key point of contact with external certification body BSi.
  
  

A Successful Candidate will have:

• A degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in environmental management
• Solid Knowledge of environmental legislation.
• Good working knowledge of ISO management systems
• ISO management system auditing experience
• Experience in a similar role in the construction materials sector
• Full driving licence
• Enthusiastic and Passionate about Compliance/Health & Safety
• Flexible and a strong communicator at all levels
• Happy to travel within their region as required
• IT Skills
• Experience in Quarrying/Concrete industries (Advantageous)
