An exciting opportunity has arisen within our client’s engineering department at Whittlesey. As part of an exciting and ambitious 3-year plan to create an industry-leading engineering department, they are looking for an Engineering Maintenance Planner to drive the team forward.

The purpose of role is to reduce production and machinery downtime, and to maximise factory output through effective and efficient planning. A hands-on approach is essential in this role, as candidates will be expected to spend time within the production facility when necessary.

Within the role, you will full plan each work package to task level, including time, skills, parts, tools and safety and permit requirements for scheduled and unplanned maintenance. 

In order to be successful in this role, you will hold a City & Guilds Part 2 in Engineering or NVQ3 in Engineering or equivalent.  Ideally with a Mechanical apprenticeship, you should have proven planning experience in a fast moving, mechanically biased manufacturing, engineering, agriculture or mining environment.

With experience and knowledge of conveyors, steamers, boilers or similar mechanical maintenance planning, you will also have knowledge of maintenance costings and stores systems.

Strong computer skills are also essential; including Excel and Engineering Maintenance systems.  SAP knowledge would be beneficial.
