This Cambridge College is seeking to appoint an energetic and talented fundraiser to join its Development Office at a very exciting time. The main components of this job include implementing a young alumni engagement programme, managing the Reunion Giving programme, gift solicitations via phone, face-to-face fundraising and research.

Founded in 1347, the College is a lively and friendly community, catering for approximately 80 academic staff and 750 undergraduate and graduate students. The College recently launched its most ambitious capital campaign yet to raise £75 million. Their Development Office is the longest established professional development operation in Cambridge. It provides circa 25% of the College’s annual operating income and it is the only office to have a Corporate Partnership Programme. The successful candidate would be joining a highly skilled, diverse team of 12 specialist development professionals who address all aspects of alumni relations, individual and corporate fundraising.

The Development Office is looking for someone who is keen to pursue a career in development and is therefore looking to build their track record in the field by widening the scope and breadth of their knowledge and expertise. This post should already have 2 years of fundraising experience and suits individuals who thrive when they are busy and who are able to multi-task big projects. The post-holder will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, outstanding planning and organisational abilities and be able to prioritise a wide range of responsibilities. Enthusiasm for working both collaboratively and independently is a must. Face-to-face and/or telephone fundraising experience will be an advantage. Candidates should have a strong belief in the value of higher education.
