Level 3 (equivalent to A levels at grades A to E)

What apprentices will learn

  • HR legislation and policy
  • HR team functions and processes
  • how to deal with HR queries
  • developing solutions to HR problems and escalating complex issues
  • maintaining staff details on computer systems
  • handling sensitive situations professionally and confidentially

You will have specific duties linked to our Central Recruitment team but will have the opportunity to work with the HR manager to support some casework.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with advertising, shortlisting, candidate screening and reference checking
  • Maintain HR records on our HR database
  • Assisting with the preparation of employment contracts for all new staff
  • Process new starters and leavers
  • General HR office administration including stationery, filing, shredding, copying, archiving, letters, audits and post
  • Coordinate and administrative support of some employee benefits and events

In return, we can offer you:

Contract:  Fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship; with the potential to be offered a permanent contract upon successful completion.  If successful the opportunity to progress to Level 5/7 CIPD programmes

Hours: Full time (37 Hours per week to include 20% study time), Term Time Only (39 weeks per year).

Salary: Circa £14,000 - £17,000 (Actual £12,189 - £14,801 per annum)
