The primary responsibility of the Software Engineer is to accurately code and test effective programs from detailed specifications and problem descriptions provided by others.

The position is responsible for all aspects of software engineering development for Landmark Air Time Sales. The primary responsibilities are the writing and testing of software to a high standard within a team environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• To undertake a range of application development tasks including: implementing new functionality; fixing faults and re-factoring.
• To write good object oriented code from functional specifications and use cases using Delphi 2010 and C / C++.
• To ensure that all working practices comply with Health and Safety legislation.

Internal:

• Software developers to troubleshoot compile problems.
• Software Quality Engineers and Business Analysts to establish test environments and provide test databases.
• Engineering Manager and Product Line Manager to build and deliver products

External:

Liaise with clients as appropriate to resolve issues or clarify requirements.

PERSON PROFILE

Should have the personal qualities to learn from colleagues and to work with him/ her in a co-operative and supportive way and be happy to accept accountability for areas under his/her control. A pro-active approach to recognising problems and finding solutions is desirable as well as a sound appreciation of the value of effective communications.

EXPERIENCE / ACHIEVEMENTS

Desirable

• Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:
• C , C++, C#
• SQL (Ingres or Microsoft Sequel Server)
