Our production site is currently undergoing an exciting refurbishment programme aimed at expanding and modernising the manufacturing lines to enable increased throughput. We are a fast-paced team and you will contribute to other areas such as global alignment and driving continuous improvements, as well as being a source of expertise within the Quality arena.

It's an exciting, inspiring place to work where we encourage both personal and career development. To support our plans, we are now looking for a talented, results driven Quality Manager to join our growing team.

The Role

  • Drive change across the business to recognise Quality and the positive impact it can make on performance.
  • Undertake Quality Management activities including: management system accreditation and application; business planning; evaluation and initiation of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Ensure all aspects of the QMS are delivered across the organisation and that issues affecting this are solved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Train and develop employees, management teams and business partners to understand and support a culture of effective business performance and risk reduction.
  • Retain responsibility and authority for global areas; initiate and lead projects locally and across the group in cooperation with the Quality Management.
  • Support the assigned area in its work with legal and regulatory compliance of their products, processes and services.
  • Deliver the training of administrators and users who work with the system.
  • Interact with a variety of stakeholders including: local management; Global Quality team; Sales, Operations and R&D globally and locally as well as Suppliers, Customer and partners.
  • There will be travel (c.30%) at other NKT Photonics offices within Europe.


The Individual

  • Previous, relevant experience of Quality Management gained in a technical design and manufacturing organisation.
  • Specific working knowledge of best-practice Quality Management techniques and experience working in an ISO9001 controlled environment would be highly useful.
  • Strong commercial acumen achieved within Engineering and / or Supply Chain management.
  • Driven and results orientated - yet approachable and able to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Effective communicator at all levels - comfortable training others in technical subjects.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, structured and logical; able to assess complex problems effectively and deliver solutions.
  • Passionate about what you do and enjoy working with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Comfortable with extensive travel across our sites. NKT Photonics has great locations and this role benefits an individual who will thrive on international travel.
