Senior Ecologist - Blackburn
A growing ecological consultancy are seeking a talented Senior Ecologist to strengthen their team in Lancashire. Our client are an established consultancy providing ecological advice and project support to a broad range of clients.
Duties of a successful candidate will include undertaking a range of ecological field work (e.g. Protected Species Surveys and Phase 1 Habitat Surveys) in addition to office-based tasks. Specific duties may include project management, writing ecological reports and supporting junior members of staff.
Ideal Person Specification:
* At least one degree in Ecology or another relevant subject.
* A strong track record within ecological consultancy - At least 5 years.
* Demonstrable knowledge of UK wildlife and planning legislation.
* Project management experience and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
* Strong technical skills and at least one protected species survey licence.
* Excellent report writing skills and strong communication skills (written and verbal).
* CIEEM membership (or eligible).
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
