The Subsea Services Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning and execution of Projects within the Europe Region Subsea Services Group. This includes full ownership and execution of project planning; developing schedules; resource planning; cost control; risk management; and ensuring that reporting requirements are in place to satisfy Customer and Company requirements. Responsible for ensuring those involved in the Project (Commercial, Procurement, Production, Quality) have plans in place to meet the obligations of the contract in timely manner and within budget. Lead and mentor Project Coordinators and provide cross functional leadership to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
Key Activities:
Delivery of projects safely, on time and within budget, and maintenance of good Client relations
Identifying and agreeing changes to the project scope.
Generation of complete scope of supply lists
Produce project deliverables to specification and on schedule, and meet or exceed project margin targets.
Understand and execute the contract commercially
Driving support functions and workshop activity to ensure OTD to customer.
Ensure accurate project schedules are in place, and maintained regularly, and are aligned with the Business Master Schedule.
Full ownership and management of Variation Order process.
Generate and manage technical exceptions, deviations and clarifications.
Leadership of the Project Team to meet targets but also to develop the individual team members to ensure their personal growth and increased value to the business
Leading cross functionally to ensure required resources are in place or additional requirements clearly articulated.
Ensure that all necessary project functions, including HSE management and QA are established and organized in a way that ensures an effective and safe execution of the project scope of work.
Provide regular updates to Management Team on project status, both technical and financial.
Ensure forecast monthly revenue is met, and sales order margin performance
Monitoring of margin performance against as bid expectations
Ability to plan and accommodate varying workloads and react to changing priorities in a fast paced services business
Act as mentor and coach for supporting team of Project Coordinators
Take ownership of and manage to successful conclusion all project related issues as they arise.
Any other duties as may be required in support of business outcomes.
Essential responsibilities:
- Full ownership of assigned projects & accountable for On Time Delivery, Margin and cash performance of projects
Qualifications/Requirements:
Degree in Engineering, Business or Project Management preferred or equivalent experience
Min. 7-10 years of Oil & Gas industry experience (preferably in Services)
Min. 3 years project management experience
Leadership experience and skills
Desired characteristics:
Knowledge and experience within engineering, project planning, risk management, EHS and QA
Knowledge and experience within Service Operations.
Quick learner and able to work under own supervision
