Strategic Change Programme Manager (Dementia Charity)

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.

Position: Strategic Change Programme Manager - Vulnerable Customers
Location: London
Contract type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: GBP39,742 actual per annum

About the role:

The role will be part of our Community Engagement team striving to create a society where people with dementia have equal access to services, are socially included and engaged in communities without stigma or isolation. They will feel fully accepted, supported and empowered to live the lives they want to lead.

You will be responsible for working with businesses on key policy areas such as financial inclusion and vulnerable customer agendas in order to improve the service they can provide to customers affected by dementia. This is an exciting new role and your work will enhance Alzheimer's Society expertise and thought leadership in these areas. Through co-ordination and leadership, you will enable Alzheimer's Society to proactively support and influence change to make society, and primarily businesses, more dementia friendly.

You will be working alongside the account leads in fundraising to support, advise, and influence strategic change with national corporate partners. You will develop project plans with national corporate partners identifying activity, timelines and milestones; ensuring they are able to make the changes to better support people affected by dementia.

About you:

You will have a good understanding of vulnerable customer regulations and a proven track record of stakeholder management both internally and externally. You should have good project management skills and experience of delivering projects from inception to execution. You will be attending senior management meetings with national corporate partners to present on proand challenge them to include the needs of people living with dementia. You therefore must be able to negotiate and influence at a senior level.
