Are you a night owl?
We are looking to recruit two Waking Night Support Workers to join our dedicated team of support staff in our Witham Service. We are currently offering full time and part time roles, so there are various hours available to join us in any of our residential and supported living services, which are home to people with a learning disability. The people we support have various needs, ranging from mild to moderate.
As a Night Support Worker you will prioritise their well-being and provide personal care and administer medication as and when required overnight. The people we support enjoy their bedtime routine which normally includes watching movies, reading books or even just relaxing from their busy days before going to bed. When they are fast asleep you will be completing light domesticated duties such as ironing, cleaning and other household chores. It is essential in this role that you have a caring and calming personality as those we support will require a lot of emotional reassurance.
The best thing about being a support worker is that anyone can do it, as long as you have positive mind-set and are attentive at all times. You will be required to learn the importance of the evacuation and fire routine throughout the night in case of an emergency. In return for your hard work we will support you through our award winning training to help you progress in your career with us!
Within the additional information section, we have included profiles for some of the services you may work across. This will give you a better understanding of the role requirements.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
Enhanced DBS is required for each successful candidate.
