National Brokerage Depot Manager

Highly competitive basic salary plus KPI Bonus 20% on salary and 25 days holiday plus stats.

Location: Nottingham Office based

LWS Services are proud to be the chosen recruitment partner for a well-established market leading Recycling and Resource Management company, who currently employ over 1000 people throughout the UK. Due to expansion there is now an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Brokerage Manager to manage their Recycling Brokerage office in the Nottingham area.

Role:

You will be responsible for a 25 million turnover brokerage business ensuring the control, monitoring and delivery of the service level agreement to deliver value to clients within the agreed contract costs. You will be an experienced Man-Manager with in-depth brokerage knowledge who is dynamic and passionate about growing a business and can really drive it forward by improving systems and processes and personally managing the P&L developing financial growth.

Responsibilities:

* Manage and develop the supplier base of over 200 national suppliers, ensuring they're delivering the best possible service to customers in a safe, compliant and efficient manner.

* Ensure that all suppliers operate legally and compliantly - permits in place/ Duty of care for disposal etc.

* Monitor the customer and supplier relationship and give feedback to the suppliers on their performance.

* Personally, responsible for the brokerage's Profit and Loss driving forward financial growth.

* Ensure that the best prices are agreed with suppliers.

* Monitor service levels and ensure service agreements are met and exceeded.

* Lead and Manage the brokerage office team of 8 offering motivation, guidance, support and training.

* Recruit and train additional staff.

* Optimisation of resources and carryout regular reviews of the operations to improve the brokerage profitability and customer service.

Experience Required:

* Must understand Brokerage and worked within a similar role within the waste / recycling industry.

* Experience managing multi-million-pound service contracts.

* knowledge and understanding of permits and waste disposal legal requirements.

* Waste Industry brokerage experience or maybe a Depot Manager (within the waste industry).

* Full P&L management experience.

* Experienced team Manager

Qualifications:

* Good standard of General Education

* Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage -CPC

* IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH or similar qualification

Additional Information:

* Normal working hours are 40 hours per week Mon to Friday, with additional hours as required to maintain the safe and efficient running of the transport.

* Saturday mornings are required and will be completed on a rota basis.

* Office based at the Nottingham site
