Formed in 1993, Skills Training UK is a leading provider of training and employability solutions. We are a Prime Contractor for the flagship ESF Workless Families programme for the DWP, and are also the Prime Contractor for two Youth Contracts for the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Tutor to join us where you will be responsible for the planning, resourcing and delivery of our Vocational Study Programme for 16-18 year olds.

As a Tutor you will be responsible for the classroom based delivery of subjects to include, but not limited to, Level 1 BTEC Introductory Diplomas and Level 2 Technical Certificates in Customer Service and Business Enterprise. You will also deliver an unaccredited Personal and Social Development programme. Devising Learner journeys and action plans, taking into consideration various learning styles and individual learner needs, you will develop schemes of work and lesson plans, whilst also contributing to the on-going creation and development of new and innovative teaching materials and resources.

We are looking for someone who has a fully endorsed teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS or equivalent, coupled with a subject specialist qualification. A dynamic individual who is able to develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, you will motivate them, maintaining standards of effort and conduct.

With the ability and experience of working with 16 to 24 year olds or challenging learners with a wide variety of barriers from diverse backgrounds, you will have excellent communication skills and able to deliver a high standard of customer care.
